Wildcats

Welcome to Wildcats – our exciting, fun-filled football programme designed especially for girls aged 5 to 11.

At Norristhorpe Junior Football Club, we’re proud to deliver Wildcats — an FA-accredited partnership programme created to give girls aged 5–11 the perfect introduction to football in a fun, safe and welcoming environment.

With imagination, play and confidence-building at the heart of every session, Wildcats offers a brilliant first step into the world of football — and a natural pathway into the wider Norristhorpe JFC family as your child grows.

Fun. Friendship. Football.

Wildcats sessions are all about enjoyment. With a focus on play, creativity and teamwork, girls build confidence and develop key skills — all while having loads of fun and making amazing new friends.

Led by FA-qualified coaches and passionate volunteers, each session blends exciting games with simple football activities, encouraging girls to express themselves, try new things, and fall in love with the sport.

At Wildcats, it’s not just about learning how to kick a ball — it’s about growing as a person. Through fun games and team activities, girls learn how to listen, take turns, work together and build confidence — all while having a great time on the pitch.

A Pathway into Grassroots Football

Wildcats is just the beginning of the journey. As girls grow in confidence and skills, they’ll have the chance to move into one of our established grassroots teams — either in mixed squads or all-girls teams, depending on what they feel most comfortable with.

Whether they go on to play every weekend or simply carry a love of football with them, we’re here to support their development every step of the way — in a club that values fun, friendship and community.
