The Committee

We are dedicated to nurturing young talent, fostering a love for football, and ensuring the club remains a thriving, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Led by Chairperson David Hague, the committee brings together a mix of experience, fresh ideas and a shared commitment to the future of Norristhorpe Junior Football Club. Vice Chairperson Ian Watkins, a long-standing member of the club, continues to champion inclusivity and open access, helping ensure that every child has the opportunity to enjoy football and be part of our club.

PC Richard Wood, as the club’s Lead Welfare and Safeguarding Officer, plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all our young players. His work helps maintain a safe, positive and supportive environment where children can enjoy their football, develop their confidence and thrive.

Treasurer Victoria Senior oversees the club’s finances, helping to ensure our resources are managed responsibly and invested in supporting our teams, players and wider club ambitions.

Together, the committee works to uphold the values at the heart of Norristhorpe Junior Football Club — teamwork, respect, inclusion and perseverance. With a shared passion for football and our local community, they are committed to building on the club’s proud foundations and creating a positive environment where every child has the opportunity to develop, enjoy the game and be part of something bigger.

“At Norristhorpe Junior Football Club, my goal as Chairperson is to create a club that our community can be truly proud of. We are committed to becoming a leading example of grassroots football, both on and off the pitch, while always keeping our local community at the heart of everything we do. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together in such a short time, for our players, our fans, and our community, and I am excited about the bright future that lies ahead.”
