On Saturday 28th June 2025, Norristhorpe Juniors FC hosted its annual Presentation Day at the Warrenside Sports Complex — and what a fantastic day it was! With blue skies above and hundreds of families and players coming together, the event was a true celebration of community, teamwork, and another great year of grassroots football.
A Day to Remember
The event kicked off with gates opening at 10:30 AM, and from the very first minute, the grounds were alive with excitement. Families arrived in full support, players reunited for fun and recognition, and volunteers brought their energy and smiles to every corner of the site.
Throughout the day, each age group took their turn to receive well-deserved recognition for their hard work, development, and team spirit this season.
Massive Thanks to Our Helpers
A huge thank you goes to Bezza, who manned the BBQ like a pro all day long, and to the brilliant crew working tirelessly in the hatch and on the bar — your efforts kept everyone happy, fed, and refreshed!
We also want to say thanks to Party King for supplying the bouncy castles that brought so much fun (and energy-burning) to the day.
Entertainment Highlights
Thank you to our live performers and our fantastic DJ, who kept the atmosphere buzzing from the first song to the last trophy. Music and community spirit made this feel like more than just a presentation — it felt like a proper festival!
3v3 Tournament: Fun, Laughter & Legendary Team Names
One of the most popular parts of the day was the 3v3 tournament, bringing plenty of fast-paced action, laughter, and team spirit. Huge thanks to the volunteers who made it all happen — it was a real highlight for players and spectators alike.
There was some serious effort on the pitch, but just as much creativity off it when it came to naming the teams. Cheesy Beans on Toast took the crown for Best Team Name, while Adnan’s a Cheat and Got Done Over by Dale gave everyone a good laugh — and had a few coaches checking their reputations!
Thanks also to Luke, who provided the stocks for our popular Soak the Coach attraction — a great laugh for everyone involved and a brilliant fundraiser for the club. (Final total raised to be confirmed soon!)
Celebrating Our Teams
A huge well done to every team and every player who stepped on stage to collect their medals and trophies. It’s been a brilliant season filled with development, sportsmanship, and success across all age groups. The pride shown on stage was a reflection of the work put in by coaches, players, and families all year round.
Until Next Year…
Thank you again to every volunteer, performer, coach, player, and parent who helped make the day so special. We’re already looking forward to doing it all again in 2026 — and wish all our teams the very best of luck in the upcoming 2025–26 season.
